Christina Taylor, M.D.

Christina Taylor, M.D. is Chief Medical Officer at McFarland Clinic. 

Dr. Taylor serves as the chief medical officer of McFarland Clinic in Ames, IA. In addition to medical officer duties, she oversees the population and value based care health efforts for McFarland Clinic, the largest physician-owned multi-specialty clinic in the state, with over 300 providers and 40 medical specialties. Prior to this, she was at The Iowa Clinic for 15 years, having served on their board and then as chief quality officer for 8 years.

She is on the Board of Directors of Wesley Life, a collection of senior living communities across the state including independent, assisted and skilled living facilities, home health agencies and hospices. She also serves on the board for Above and Beyond Cancer, whose mission is to elevate the lives and health of those touched by cancer.

Dr. Taylor serves on Iowa Governor’s chronic care roundtable and has served on the state’s vaccine advisory taskforce. Dr Taylor is on the executive committee of the Iowa Medical Society Board of Directors, as Treasurer and Chair-Elect. She has been a proud AMGA member for many years, having been part of the Quality Council and serving as Quality Council Chair for two years. She has been on the AMGA Foundation Board of Directors since 2016.

She earned her medical degree from The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency in Des Moines, Iowa at what is now Unity Point. Christi and her husband, Rob Taylor, live in West Des Moines, IA and are the owners of Revelton Distilling Company, established in 2020.
