Capitol Hill Events

What Is Capitol Hill Day?

AMGA's Capitol Hill Day is the only legislative fly-in for medical group leaders, where you can connect with your elected officials in Washington, DC to ensure they understand the principles that guide our industry and to advocate for the issues that are most important to your particular medical group or health system.

Meeting with your elected representatives and their staff in person is the best way to influence change. AMGA's skilled policy staff will brief all participants on relevant issues in advance and will assist in scheduling meetings with the appropriate parties.

2019 Capitol Hill Day

New this year, our annual Capitol Hill Day program will be held in conjunction with AMGA’s Annual Conference on Thursday, March 28. In addition to meeting and networking with the best minds in health care, you will be able to ensure your members of Congress understand how legislation and regulations affect your organization.

AMGA's expert policy staff will brief all participants on relevant issues in advance and assist in scheduling meetings with the appropriate parties, as desired (simply indicate on the conference registration form if you’d like assistance in scheduling meetings or if you will arrange your own meetings). Transportation will be provided to and from Capitol Hill.

Our team will work to address scheduling conflicts for members wishing to attend both Capitol Hill Day and our pre-conference immersion sessions.

Participation is open only to individuals at AMGA member medical groups and health systems, and is complimentary. To learn more about Capitol Hill Day, please contact Christina Lavoie, J.D., director, government relations, at 703.838.0033 ext. 324 or clavoie@amga.org.
