      Despite efforts to achieve the Quintuple Aim, healthcare workforce shortages persist due to market volatility, demoralization, unionization threats, aging, and limited primary care access. This poster presentation shares how using concise communication tactics, Concord Hospital Health System built a system-wide wellness council, collaborated with key partners to successfully build team engagement, improve resident well-being and advance culture.

      Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

      • Describe a process of communicating understanding of a structured system of workforce well-being.
      • Identify evidence-based initiatives to guide development.
      • Illustrate examples of various well-being resources at every organizational level, including residency level.
      • Explore how other organizations can use similar initiatives to effectively improve workforce team well-being.

      This poster presentation shares how Northwell Health Physician Partners created a formal AEHR enhancement request intake process to improve provider satisfaction and efficiency within the AEHR. To address concerns about ease of use and implementation time, a structured approach was developed to evaluate, plan, and implement approved requests, aiming to enhance provider performance, satisfaction, efficiency, and overall revenue. 

      Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

      • Explain the importance of creating a formalized AEHR optimization intake process.
      • Utilize an integrated multi-collaborative approach for reviewing and completing enhancement requests.
      • Recognize opportunities to improve provider productivity, efficiency, and revenue through enhancements within the AEHR.
      • Deliver enhancement requests timely with an individualized education plan.
      • Measure success of enhancement via evaluation of quantitative and qualitative metrics.

It focuses on equipping the audience with strategies for effective program planning and implementation to enhance healthcare provider well-being through structured peer support initiatives.

      • Describe critical phases in planning an evidence-based peer support program. 
      • Identify strategies for effectively implementing a peer support initiative.
