Alexandria, VA — AMGA Consulting is excited to announce a definitive agreement to collaborate with Jack Silversin, DMD, DrPH, and Mary Jane Kornacki to provide innovative services and support for developing physician-organization compacts. This partnership marks a significant milestone in AMGA Consulting’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare organizations in navigating complex change initiatives.

Dr. Silversin and Kornacki, recognized pioneers in the development of physician-organization compacts, have refined their approach over three decades of working with physicians and medical groups. Their methodology aligns seamlessly with AMGA Consulting’s deep expertise in fostering physician engagement and addressing the challenges faced by healthcare organizations today.

A physician-organization compact outlines explicit, co-developed expectations between an organization and its physicians. The process and resulting document serve as a critical tool to build trust and strengthen collaboration. Amid the accelerating pace of healthcare change, such compacts are more vital than ever.

"We've worked closely with Jack and Mary Jane over the years, and we’ve known them for decades,” said Fred Horton, MHA, president of AMGA Consulting. “Their work has been integral to developing successful alignment strategies for many AMGA member organizations. We are thrilled to have them on board as we expand our offerings and believe AMGA is the right home for the legacy that they have created."

The timing of this partnership is particularly significant. Results from AMGA’s Provider Satisfaction data indicate organizations’ ongoing challenge with provider engagement, driven by the rapid pace of change in healthcare. Jerry Penso, MD, MBA, president and CEO of AMGA, highlighted the importance of this initiative: "As AMGA continues our focus on strengthening the relationship between health systems and the physician enterprise, the work around the physician compact is a crucial component to fostering success."

Dr. Silversin, emphasizing the impact of revisiting compacts to meet evolving organizational needs, said, "Exploring the traditional, too-often unstated compact, and how it may and may not support evolving organizational needs, has proved to be a useful method to engage physicians and drive performance improvement. Now, more than ever, this work is vital to the success of health systems across the country."
Kornacki also expressed her confidence in the partnership, saying, "As the industry continues to evolve, we believe AMGA Consulting is the right organization to continue our work. This team shares our commitment to fostering collaboration and enhancing organizational alignment."

AMGA Consulting’s services in physician-organization compacts are available beginning January 2025. For questions or to learn more, please email info@amgaconsulting.com.
