      AMGA Foundation welcomes John Clark, MD, PhD; Neeta Goel, MD; Dan McCall, MD, MSPH; and Puneeta Sharma, MD, CPE, to its Board of Directors. These four expert doctors began their new terms in January 2025.

      Alexandria, VA – AMGA Foundation welcomes John Clark, MD, PhD; Neeta Goel, MD; Dan McCall, MD, MSPH; and Puneeta Sharma, MD, CPE, to its Board of Directors. These four expert doctors began their new terms in January 2025.

      John Clark, MD, PhD, is chief population health officer at Sharp Rees-Stealey Medical Group in San Diego, CA. With a background as chief quality officer and associate chief medical officer at Southwestern Health Resources in Dallas, TX, Dr. Clark brings extensive experience in improving healthcare outcomes and quality. He earned both his medical degree and PhD in epidemiology and public health from the University of Miami and is board-certified in internal medicine and clinical informatics, with additional certification in obesity medicine. In his clinical practice, Dr. Clark has served as both a primary care physician and a specialist in non-surgical weight management, combining his expertise in population health and patient care to drive innovative healthcare solutions.

      Neeta Goel, MD, is vice president of clinical excellence for ambulatory services for Inova in Fairfax, VA. In this role, Dr. Goel oversees quality, safety, and patient experience across nearly 300 primary and specialty care sites, driving improved outcomes and cost efficiencies through her leadership in value-based care. Known for her expertise in digital health, telemedicine, and mental health initiatives, she recently led a system-wide depression screening program to enhance mental health awareness. A passionate advocate for physician well-being, Dr. Goel has held leadership roles in organizations such as the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, where she is a past president. Board-certified in family medicine, she remains committed to advancing patient-centered care and fostering collaboration to improve healthcare delivery.

      Dan McCall, MD, MSPH, is the medical director of Medicare and commercial ACO programs at Hattiesburg Clinic in Hattiesburg, MS. A clinical endocrinologist, Dr. McCall provides specialty care to patients throughout southern Mississippi and leads the clinic's population health initiatives. He completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he also earned a Master of Science in Public Health and conducted research on factors influencing diabetes care among Medicare beneficiaries. Since joining Hattiesburg Clinic in 2003, Dr. McCall has played a pivotal role in advancing value-based care, serving as associate medical director from 2015 to 2021 before assuming his current leadership role. He continues to focus on innovative approaches to improving outcomes and quality of care for diverse patient populations.

      Puneeta Sharma, MD, CPE, is the chief medical officer and chair of medical sub-specialties at Valley Health System, where she leads a 500+ multispecialty group in delivering exceptional patient care and driving strategic initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes. With more than 20 years of combined experience in clinical medicine, healthcare administration, and strategic leadership, Dr. Sharma is known for her expertise in talent management, value-based care models, and data-driven strategies that foster continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams. She has served on the board of Coligo Care, New Jersey’s top-ranked ACO, designing performance frameworks to improve quality, access, and patient satisfaction. A passionate academician, Dr. Sharma provides executive oversight for Valley’s Graduate Medical Education programs, building innovative curricula and mentoring future healthcare leaders. Board-certified in hospice and palliative care, she earned her medical degree from the Karnatak Institute of Medical Sciences, completed her residency in internal medicine in New York, and holds a master’s degree in healthcare management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
