Healthcare Leaders to Gather in Texas at AMGA’s 2025 Annual Conference
Alexandria, VA – AMGA will convene leaders from medical groups and integrated systems of care at its 2025 Annual Conference on March 26-29 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. This year’s meeting theme, Creating Thriving Physician Enterprises, features expert keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and a newly designed, highly interactive exhibit floor. The meeting brings together leaders from across the country to collaborate, share learnings, and make connections.
This year’s conference features six keynote speakers, including a four-person panel of prominent CEOs. The speakers will be Daniel H. Pink, Maria Ansari, MD, Tomislav Mihaljevic, MD, Wright Lassiter III, MHA, J. Stephen Jones, MD, and Mark Schulman.
Daniel H. Pink is a New York Times bestselling author and contributing editor at Fast Company and Wired. During the opening general session, Pink will draw on an unprecedented two-year study of the most misunderstood emotion, regret. He will show how understanding regret will lead to learning what employees value the most—deepening employee engagement and strengthening loyalty and commitment.
The CEO panel will feature: Maria Ansari, MD, CEO and Executive Director of The Permanente Medical Group and Co-CEO of The Permanente Foundation; Tomislav Mihaljevic, MD, CEO, President, and Morton L. Mandel CEO Chair of the Cleveland Clinic Health System; Wright Lassiter III, MHA, CEO of CommonSpirit in Chicago; and J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS, CEO of Inova Health System and AMGA’s Immediate Past Chair of the Board.
Ansari, Mihaljevic, Lassiter III, and Jones will discuss navigating the future and value of physician enterprises. The panel will highlight critical issues impacting care delivery today, including financial sustainability, leadership and governance, AI, and more.
Mark Schulman is the author of Conquering Stage Fright and Attitude Equation, as well as world-renowned drummer for P!nk, Cher, and Velvet Revolver. Through engaging, interactive stories and compelling drum performances, Schulman’s keynote will guide attendees in transforming fear into confidence.
These keynote speakers will be augmented by presentations featuring leaders from the nation’s leading medical groups and health systems. Dozens of presentations and poster sessions will share groundbreaking strategies and innovations, covering topics such as:
- Leadership and Governance
- AI and Technology Innovation
- Finance and Operations
- Exploring Value-Based Care
- Streamlining Patient Care
- Addressing Workforce Challenges
AMGA’s 2025 Annual Conference is offering three new features at this year’s conference. Each learning track will feature sessions on AI and Technology Innovation, Leadership and Governance, Exploring Value-Based Care, and more.
The revamped conference programming also features deep dives—in-depth sessions focusing on the Future of Medicare Advantage, Chronic Care Management and GLP-1s, Optimizing Workforce, and more.
The third and final new feature, The Hub, is a reimagined, interactive, and engaging exhibit hall, including Hub Chats, Tech Talks, AMGA Live interviews, and poster presentations.
