Medical Groups and Health Systems Nationwide Document or Administer 35.7 million vaccines in Five Years
Alexandria, VA – AMGA Foundation’s Rise to Immunize® (RIZE) campaign announced that participating medical groups and health systems have administered or documented 35.7 million adult vaccines at the five-year mark of this initiative. The RIZE campaign focuses on seven routine adult vaccinations: influenza, pneumococcal, Td/Tdap, zoster, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), COVID-19, and hepatitis B.
Since the campaign began in 2021, zoster vaccination rates have Improved by 21.2%, and Td/Tdap rates have risen 4.7%. In the last year alone, the RSV vaccination rate has risen 6.1%. Notably, after the age recommendation for the pneumococcal vaccine changed from 65+ to 50+ and doubled the eligible population, RIZE groups nearly tripled the number of pneumococcal vaccinations documented or administered.

To date, 87 AMGA member organizations have joined RIZE, representing more than 54,000 full-time equivalent (FTE) physicians across 30 states. To improve adult vaccination rates, participating AMGA members implement evidence-based care processes, or “campaign planks”; report quarterly immunization data; and use best-practice resources and tools identified and provided by the campaign.
