      Hepatitis B 101

      The June webinar focused on the hepatitis B vaccine and featured Avish Nagpal, MD, MPH, and Andrea Polkinghorn, BSN, RN-BC, from Sanford Health. Dr. Nagpal is an infectious disease specialist and the medical director for infection prevention and control. Ms. Polkinghorn is the enterprise immunization strategy leader. In this role, she provides oversight to ensure standardization of immunization practices and appropriate implementation of guidelines. Ms. Polkinghorn is also responsible for providing ongoing immunization education for staff. She serves as the board president for Immunize South Dakota, a network of community partners working to increase immunizations.
